One task I'd like to accomplish with Actual Title Buttons is to keep a Quicktime window on top of a word document so that I can write a script to some rough-cut video.
But Quicktime (for Windows)doesn't seem to "catch" the buttons?  Is there anything I can do about this?
(I'm on a W2K machine.)

You can accomplish the described task either with Actual Window Menu or with Actual Window Manager. These products provide the ability of extended window managemenent via window's system menu which can be called by the right-click on the taskbar entry of an appropriate Quicktime window. Such windows can be affected in this way only.

I've just installed Actual Window Menu, and this is what I find:

   1. the Quicktime window title bar does not display
any context menu with a right click.

   2. Quicktime does not show up in the list of
      "specific windows" in AWM's menu.

Is there something about Quicktime that makes it invisible or unavailable to your program?

thanks, Craig

Craig, I didn't tell you that you need to right-click the titlebar of Quicktime window; I have advised you to right-click its corresponding taskbar entry - just read my previous message attentively.

Also I would recommend you to read the program Help to get more information of Specific Windows list. In short, this list doesn't represent your currently opened windows - it contains special items called window rules which you should handle yourself.

Alexey, thanks! Just like my wife says: "I never listen."

This works, I'll buy it, thanks again!
