 See attached screenclip. With AWM enabled, the Windows 7 Toolbar displays a blank/empty icon box for MS Outlook. Other MS Office programs seem to be working ok, although similar behavior has occurred for Excel.

What version of Windows 7 are you running - 32 or 64-bit?

What version of AWM are you running?

Are you always able to reproduce this issue? Are there steps to reproduce?

What mode of AWM taskbars do you use? Is the "replace the primary taskbar" option (Multiple Monitors > Taskbar Tab) enabled or disabled?

 New Dell PC w/ latest version of Windows 7 and AWM 7.3

Happens every time I open Outlook and not always but often with Excel. Am not using any other Office components frequently at the moment. It should be noted that both are components of the Office 2013 Preview Suite. Don't know about Office 2010, as I haven't used it on this PC - beta version of Office 2013 is so much better it's not worth installing 2010.


Using Individual Mode for AWM taskbar and replace primary taskbar is enabled.

Does the problem still occur? Does it occur with AWM disabled, on the system taskbar?

I was unable to reproduce the issue with the full version of Microsoft Office 2013.

Have you updated Office 2013?

Why do you have the old-style yellow Outlook tray icon? As for me it is blue, as the taskbar icon.

No, it does not occur with AWM disabled.

No one updates Office 2013 obtained through Office 365 Preview (beta). It is a Click-to-Run program continuously updated directly by Microsoft.

Do not know the answer regarding yellow Outlook tray icon, although perhaps it is a residual of Office 2010, which was previously installed on this system. With the Click-to-Run version of Office 2013 beta, you can actually run both side-by-side, but I uninstalled Office 2010 after becoming comfortable that the beta version of 2013 was sufficiently stable.

In addition to the previously noted issue, I am also observing that taskbar previews for webpages opened in Firefox are not closing/disappearing when the corresponding webpage/tab has been closed in Firefox. Instead, the preview "screen" appears as a blank white square with a spinning circle in the middle and the title of the closed web page above it.

Lsst, but not least, I am receiving spam message from this forum - at least a half dozen tonight.

Could you try the latest version of Actual Window Manager and check whether the problem persists?

 Hi Bogdan,

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit version. I've also been running version 7.4 of AWM since 12/20. As you can see in the attached screenshot, the icons for MS Office 2013 seem to be working correctly tonight, although AWM does occasionally duplicate those icons as it has done tonight (see screenshot) with the Firefox Nightly (dark blue) icon.

I was unable to reproduce the issue with Firefox Nightly. Is this problem still actual?

Could you give me an example of the spam you've received?
