This is the one feature I would love MS to add but alas they are sloooow to change their ways.
I have always hunted for third party options, QTexplorer, Btabs, etc. However one of the best looking implementations I've seen is one simply called Windows Tabs. The only issue is that development is sadly slow and sporadic. However it would be the perfect feature to add to Windows Manager!
The look is what grabbed me, tabs rest on top of the window instead of cluttering the inside. It looks very sleek. If the window goes full screen then the tabs become part of the border.
The downside is that the application can be very buggy depending on which program is getting tabbed and development seems to have stalled.
