Unfortunately you'd have to buy geco

Would a Video help?

I don't think that a video would be helpful.

Could you check please, when some other applications are open alongside with geco and geco doesn't have focus (for example notepad is open and have focus), does the problem occur?

Best regards.

Just checked:

AWM taskbar replacing primary taskbar
AWM taskbar set to auto hide
Launching Geco
AWM taskbar unhiding
Launching notepad, notepad gets focus
AWM taskbar remains unhidden
Switching focus to Geco
AWM taskbar remains unhidden
Switching focus back to notepad
AWM taskbar remains unhidden
Closing Geco
AWM taskbar auto hides

...

>>Unfortunately, i can't test Throttlestop 5 on my PC (CPU not supported).

Have you at least downloaded and started it? Doesn't harm anything, as it runs in monitoring mode as default.

I configured it (options) to
- start minimised
- minimise on close
- allways on top (changing this checkbox doesn't change AWM misbehaviour)

With ThrottleStop launched I get a tray icon.
AWM taskbar replacing primary, set to auto hide
1) Doubleclicking on the ThrottleStop tray icon shows the ThrottleStop window, NOT focused!
AWM taskbar unhides, shows the ThrottleStop taskbar window icon to the left, flashing.
AWM taskbar stays unhidden until I focus ThrottleStop
Closing ThrottleStop

Now, right clicking the tray icon and chose 'restore' from the context menu.
The ThrottleStop window appears, FOCUSED this time (difference to double clicking at 1) ).
AWM taskbar auto hides

With the primary taskbar, double clicking 1) focuses the ThrottleStop window and auto hides the taskbar!

So it seems the double click on the AWM taskbar tray icon shows the ThrottleStop window but doesn't focus it, as with the primary taskbar. Instead the window gets a notification somehow, so it starts flashing on the taskbar.

Hello TabSel

I was able to launch Trottlestop on other machine.

What OS are you running (name, 32 or 64-bit)?

Does the problem occur when you launch Trottlestop the usual way? I mean without these options that  you configured (start minimized etc.). When you launch it from the exe file, not when you restore it from the tray icon?

Or do i need to completely copy the scheme described above in order to reproduce the issue?

Best regards.

Hi, thanks for your effort!

I am running Win7 Pro x64.

The Problem does NOT occur when I Launch Throttlestop "the usual way".#

Please follow:

A) AWM taskbar replacing Primary taskbar, autohide AWM taskbar

1) Launch Throttlestop "the usual way"
2) in the app window you'll see a button "Options", click it
3) in the Options window check "Start Minimized" and "Minimize on Close", click "OK"
4) Close Throttlestop via window Close button top right, Throttlestop will Close to tray

5) double click on the Throttlestop tray Icon.
=> Throttlestop app window appears UNFOCUSED, AWM taskbar stays unhidden when you move the mouse away from the taskbar, Throttlestop taskbar app Icon flashes, the Throttlestop taskbar app Icon stays highlighted

THIS DIFFERS FROM the behaviour with the native taskbar!

instead of 5) try this:
6) single click on the Throttlestop tray Icon, the context menue appears, choose "restore"
=> the Throttlestop app window appears FOCUSED, AWM taskbar hides automatically as you move the mouse away from the taskbar, the Throttlestop taskbar app Icon is NOT highlighted.

(identically to double clicking the Throttlestop tray Icon with the native taskbar)

got it?

Hello Tab

I was able to reproduce the issue but it manifested itself in some different way - the Throttlestop window opened with focus, the taskbar icon didn't flash, but the taskbar did't hide.

We'll try to fix it.

Best regards.
