Please do fix this interaction between Directory Opus and AWT.

I'm running 64 bit Windows 8. DO is set to open on a double-click to the desktop. If AWT is running, DO does not open; if I exit AWT, then DO opens fine.

IF AWT is running, and DO is not opening with a double-click to the desktop, I can temporarily fix the problem by going into DO's preferences, disabling the DC response, then re-enabling the DC response.

Something in the way AWT monitors mouse clicks interferes with DO's method of monitoring clicks.

Hello John

We're trying to figure out the reason why there are two various forms of this problem.

Could you send us the list of the processes from the task switcher? You can send it to support@actualtools.com.

Best regards.

Actual Window Manager Log and Directory Opus.

1. double click on desktop, DO shows top most:
open window--> 22:03:42;New window;Default Settings;dopus.lister;c:\.. .\dopus.exe
close window-->22:03:50;New window;Default Settings;dopus.combochild;c:\.. .\dopus.exe

2. double click on desktop, DO shows bottom other elements:
open window-->22:05:40;New window;Default Settings;dopus.lister;c:\.. .\dopus.exe
?(the same time)-->22:05:41;New window;Default Settings;dopus.combochild;c:\.. .\dopus.exe

close window --> nothing

Hello duzers

Is there any differences between the first and the second situation?

What OS are you running (version, 32 or 64-bit)?

What version of Actual Window Manager are you running?

Best regards.

In the first case, when I open DO window the log shows only one item "dopus.lister" and only one item "dopus.combochild" when I close DO window.
In the second case, at one time the log shows both items (dopus.lister and dopus.combochild) when I open DO and nothing when I close DO window.

Windows x64
DO 7.5

Solution:
I add new "start" (windows8 x64) event to exclusions.

Duzers, i mean differences in the conditions for these two cases. What conditions make it go the first way and what condition make it go the second way?

Are you running Windows 8 x64?

What version of Actual Window Manager are you running?

What is the start event? You are able to only exclude particular windows, classes or programs in our program. What have you add to exclusions?

Best regards.

Sorry, my idea does not work - I tested it in very clean Windows 8 x64 (VMware Workstation)
AWM 7.5 doesn't work with DirectoryOpus properly(windows position bottom). When I exit (stop not work) AWM, DirectoryOpus opens correctly (windows position topmost).
I'm still looking for a solution.

Hello duzers

This is a known problem and it depends on what program was launched first.

Unfortunately, for now we can't fix it.

We'll report you of any changes regarding this issue.

Best regards.
