Hi,

I have a program what steels the focus from other programs but the program is important for me. That means I work in ms words and suddenly a other program steels the focus and i have to click on my word window to can work in words again. So I want a feature which stops steeling the focus.

I hope you understand me :)

Thanks a lot.

+1.
I don't know why when I watch movie with Media Player Classic very often other programs steals focus from MPC. It's nice request. I second this.

Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion. But we are thinking that it is exaggerative method. Maximum that we can do try to create function which immediately return focus to your window.

Best regards.

I 'third' this - a very good idea. There are lots of programs which either because of bad programming, or for marketing reasons, steal focus.

Preventing the stealing of focus would be a very useful function , and good enough for my immediate purpose. I'd imagine a slight generalisation - the ability to allocate focus to any window controlled by AWM (on occurannce of event 'x' eg startup etc) might make the function even more useful.

Any idea when (or in what version) this might be forthcoming. I think you might be amazed how many uses it would be found to have, and how many people would use it if it were available!

Thanks Tatiana

Any ideas at all yet on what version it might appear in?

Really need this soon if at all possible, but I realize you have to balance up the priorities! Have a necessary program which is driving me mad :-)

NB Microsoft has recognised the need for this facility by including a switch in TweakUI. But this tries to switch focus stealing off for all windows, which is normally not what people want. Also programs appear to be able to ignore the setting - doesn't help at all with my problem. May be worth telling the devs about this.

Many thanks

Mike

+1 - I would especially like to request if you could test this functionality with Citrix\XenApp that loves to steal windows :)

If needed, I can find out beta testers for you (that are especially interested in this feature).
