Hi,
Is it possible to pin a program or an app (as opposed to a regular window) to the desktop? eg- The Twitter or Facebook app?

Hello, Paul
You're running Windows 10, right?
There is a way to enable this feature for modern apps windows (Hotkey for Quick Settings > enable this feature in the Quick Settings window), but unfortunately, for now this feature doesn't work correctly for modern apps.
We'll try to fix this issue and will post here when/if this problem is fixed.
Best regards.

Yes, Windows 10
The pin to desktop quick settings feature doesn't appear to work for any window, not just apps.

Paul,
What programs besides Modern Apps have you noticed the problem with? Could you specify names and versions of the programs?
Do you mean "Pin to desktop" action in Quick Settings is not active or applying it doesn't change anything?
What our program are you running (name, version)?
Could you name the exact number of your Windows build (type winver in the Search field of the Windows Start menu, press Enter. The Window containing the build number will appear).
Best regards.

Maybe a silly question-
How do you
unpin
a pinned window from the desktop? Is there a HotKey DEFAULT for that?

Hello, Glenn
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for the delay in replying to you.
You can unpin a window from the desktop via the window menu extra item "Pin to desktop" and via the Quick Settings window (middle mouse button click to the window's title bar or via the Quick Settings hotkey). But in case of Quick Settings you need to click the Pin to desktop button twice to unpin the window. We'll look into this problem.
Unfortunately, there is no hotkey for the Pin to desktop action. Are the listed ways to unpin a window acceptable for you?
Best regards.
