I'm also have sluggish behaviour with new beta — previous beta version didn't cause that problem.

System startup ok, but after minute perfomance drops exponentially.

Also after exiting AWM it can't restart as it process hangs.

Another issue with AWM is that it sometimes handles not all windows — i.e., when i run calc.exe it haves buttons, but when i.e. opera.exe — it doesn't.

Also I got random application crashes when exiting from AWM. And random stop responding messages with delete file dialog (from any program if it's standard one).

Sum it all up and it logical to suspect AWM in all problems, not TaskInfo. Also take not, that TaskInfo isn't exclusive program that leads to sluggish perfomance with AWM. Seems as any program with dynamic tray icon is affected by AWM.

Alexey, please note that clean system install isn't very useful test enviroment because it is smallest subset of world that you can look at. It can be first stage test, but not the end one. (and i'm sure that no one use AWM on clean system install)

And another minur issue — ConsolePatch64.exe randomly brings up UAC window on system startup (randomly means that on one boot it can start without it while on another will ask).

Martyn, Jeff,

Thank you for your reports. We plan to prepare the release candidate of AWM 5.2 soon, and I'd like to ask you check it on your systems. It should address many stability issues but we'd like to get some proof before the public release.

Quark,

Thank you for your feedback. To make it more informative, please specify the version/edition of your Windows. Also it would be nice to get more detailed information on described issues so that we could reproduce (or at least try to reproduce) them.

Thanks! :)

BTW, did you already send your Belarc report? If you did then I'm sorry but we haven't received it.

I have to agree with Quark, I do not have Taskinfo installed or a Xeon processor but I still suffer from the same problems as Quark under Vista 32 bit.  Again this did not happen with beta 1

Alex,

No problem - I'll test it as soon as you send it through.

I agree with Gerard.  I'm still getting the problems on 32 bit Vista when not running Taskinfo.

I think the effect of Taskinfo is that the problems appear more often, not that Taskinfo is the only cause.

Gerard, Martyn,

Thank you for your reports. Yes, we discovered ourselves that TaskInfo is not the main culprit (at least, for the "sluggish system" issue). I believe we found the reason of such slowing down of the system so, gentlemen, - you are welcome to check out the release candidate of AWM 5.2.

Please test the overall stability, especially on x64 systems and on multi-core CPUs. I hope this time it should work better.
