AWM - v7.0 Beta 1
The settings below result in some applications, specifically VB6 apps, to loose the default button(s)/checkbox(s) on some dialogs.

Target Window | Windows class = ThunderRT6Form | Program = c:\program files (x86)\XYplorer\XYplorer.exe
Position | Restrict placement | Top = 28

See application XYplorer -- Note: only some dialogs are susceptible to the missing default button (sometimes it is more than the default button, meaning buttons on the dialog are missing). Simply disabling the Position | restrict placement resolves the missing button(s). To duplicate the problem apply the above and then in XYplorer perform a "Custom Copy" that results in a "Name Collision" (copy a folder to the destination which you already copied that folder). Then the Custom Copy Name Collision dialog will appear with the missing "OK" button.

Hello Zardoz2293,

Thanks for the post.

The problem has been confirmed.

We'll try to fix it.

What other applications (names, versions) do you have the problem with?

What OS are you running (version, x32 or x64)?

Best regards.

Using Windows 7 Ultimate (64-Bit) SP1 current with all hot fixes.

XYplorer is the only application that I have identified the occurrence and hence why I believed it is related to some behavior of VB6. I'll post additional finding for other apps and their versions should I encounter. Thanks!!!

Ha, I never thought the problem came from this app.
I figured the functionality of Xyplorer was bad. Thanks for the heads up

Win 7 x64 updates to date,
2 monitors placed I on top of II,
2 independent taskbars on the right,
and using the latest beta

Zardoz2293, as workaround you could use the "Window Caption" criterion (Actual Window Manager -> Window Settings -> Specific settings -> Target Window tab) in your Specific settings for XYplorer.

Please note you shouldn't disable "Window class" and "Program" criteria in Specific settings for XYplorer.

Hope this helps.

Yes, all those are set. However, if Position | Options | Save position on exit = Checked, then the buttons are missing. Saving the position on exit is top priority and hence where the problem exists. The WindowClass for the checkbox and commandbuttons are: ThunderRT6CheckBox and ThunderRT6CommandButton; the window/dialog WindowClass is: ThunderRTForm.

Having Window Class, Window Caption and Program set will not resolve the problem.

Zardoz2293, we'll investigate this more carefully and inform you about our results.

Best regards.

Zardoz2293, could you send me your configuration files (Actual Window Manager -> File -> Send Configuration -> Send to the Tech Support)?

Best regards.

Zardoz2293,

It seems that the Window Caption value you set is incorrect. Please change it as follows:

Window Caption: - XYplorer
Substring match: selected

At least, it fixes the subject issue on our test machine.
