I am running 6.1 beta 1. I noticed that when I installed the java update, the upd ate windows shows in ALL the switcher windows. Is there a way to set the default behavior for AWM so that it defaults to only showing the app in one switcher window (the one you started the app in)rather than all. windows until you configure a specific se tting for the app?

Dear Jolly,
This effect (show new system window on each VD) has been done to solve the problem with automatically switching to first VD after clicking on some icons in tray.
Only one way to solve your problem it is create specific settings for the such app and set move to the first VD.

I once used a Virtual Desktop product (enable virtual desktop) that allowed you to create a rule that would only move the 1st instance of an application to a particular VD. After that if you opened that app in another VD, it would stay only in that VD where you opened it the 2nd time. Then a 3rd instance could be opened on another seperate VD. I would suggest a third option on the screen "specific setting\start\startup\move to desktop". That is Move to (x) desktop upon 1st instance of the app. After that, leave app on the desktop where it is started.
That way, I can open several instances of a say windows explorer and have each on on a different desktoop. Does this make sense?
