I currently use 3 products in combination for my window management of dual monitors.
*GoScreen for virtual desktops (which can be run in multiple instances for each monitor... each monitor has it's own set of desktops
www.goscreen.info
check it out people... it's a great complement to AWM)
*AWM for I don't realy need to say. All the good stuff.
*Ultramon for secondary monitor taskbar. I only have a trial copy at the moment.
They all work flawlessly together but I really can't justify the money to buy Ultramon. The only feature I use it for is the taskbar as AWM pretty much can do everything else useful it can do.
I think the secondary monitor taskbar should be a feature in AWM.
It's really quite handy.

Me too!
Also 3 programs for my window management of dual monitors.
My the other 2 programs are:
1) UltraMon, which I use only one of its function, that is to en/disable secondary monitor.
2) Macro Express, which I use to create Hotkey for native Window buttons like Maximize, Minimize.
I too hope AWM can take over what UltraMon does.
And for user-define-hotkey, I think it is weakest area of AWM, it has too short a list of items that user can create hotkey. There is no native Window buttons at all on the list.
AWM team,
Please at least add the "Maximize" and "Minimize" buttons to the hotkey list... please, please, please!

Just a note: the support of virtual desktops has been added in the recently released
beta 1
of
Actual Window Manager 5.1
. Please could you check this feature on your own and provide us a feedback on its usability and quality? Thank you in advance!

And another note: the support of multi-monitor taskbar will be added in the near future (probably, in version
5.2
or
5.3
). Stay tuned!

We will
This is why many people prefer UltraMon (or MultiMon). If you could implement it, I don't see any reason why to use UltraMon anymore
I definitely vote for this feature

Martin,
Thank you for your registration at our forum and welcome!
Plans for the upcoming version 5.2 are vast indeed (and most of them target the multi-monitor support). We eagerly like to change
Actual Window Manager
status from "not so famous piece of software" to "the most famous".
BTW, have you received my email regarding your blog note?
