Since you guys are working down on the Desktop level, it would be very nice feature if there was a configuration option which would prevent from displaying "desktop.ini" on the Desktop should one exist or hidden files is set to show. As you know it may be desirable to have hidden files displayed in Explorer, but have absolutely no desire to ever see the "desktop.ini" on the Desktop.
Thanks for considering.
Sincerely,
Lars

Hello, Lars.
Thank you for your request, but it's not quite our specialization, so we decided not to implement this.
If you need to hide desktop.ini, as workaround you can do following:
1) Save desktop icons order (desktop > Right click > Save desktop icons order item)
2) Disable the Align to grid option in the Desktop context menu > View
3) Manually change the coordinates for desktop.ini file in the saved layout – go to %appdata%\Actual Tools\Actual Window Manager\DesktopIcons. Open the text file, find the entry containing 6400650073006B0074006F007000 combination and change its coordinates so that desktop.ini placed beyond the edge of the display.
Best regards.
