 Hi,

The title explains it. It would be nice to be able to make profile \ preference for backup.

 Hi Sepehr,

You can already do it by backing up all the .ini files in the folder with the possible name "C:\Documents and Settings\Sepehr Akhavan\Application Data\Actual Tools\Actual Window Manager".

 Alexey,

Is it 'safe' to use this method to clone an installation from one machine to another (using the same version of AWM)? I tried just copying the windowrules.ini, but that didn't seem to do the whole job - for example I have 'rollup' titlebutton applied to all windows, but it didn't appear on the second machine. Or did I do something wrong?

 Actually, I did do something wrong! But the question still stands - is it OK to copy all 3 .ini files from one machine to another, so they both look and behave the same?

 Yes, David, it's pretty enough to copy those .ini files to get the same AWM behavior on another machine (except for the settings stored in the Windows Registry - like "Load at startup", "Language" and other global options).

Also I'd like to suggest you to copy those files not just to user's profile but to AWM's installation folder too (e.g. "C:\Program Files\Actual Window Manager"), in case you want to get the same initial settings for all users registered in the target system. The .ini files in the installation folder are used as a master copy when creating the user's personal settings in his profile.

And the last tip: the UIPreferences.ini file isn't required to be copied; it holds Configuration window's visual preferences only.
