I have a large monitor (2560x1600) and I often like to place windows at different corners of the screen.  I think an easy way to do this (if well implemented) might be to be able to use the mouse to sort-of "throw" the window to a corner.  I imagine that looking at the velocity and/or acceleration of the mouse pointer towards a corner when the mouse button is released from dragging the window would be a reliable way to detect a "throw" to a corner.
