For example:

I have 2 monitors. I have 2 windows of google chrome open, 1 on the left monitor and 1 on the right monitor.

In both these monitors, the windows are fixed at a position (and size). I want them to be fixed at all times but still be able to change change the window to a different monitor.

so:

- fixed position + size on each monitor per software
- still be able to change the window from monitor.

I hope you understand.

Hello Ri mambs,

Thanks for the post.

Do you want to have a feature that automatically resize and reposition a window when you are clicking on the "Move to monitor" title button?

Best regards.

Yes something like that.

having 1 size and position on 1 monitor and on another monitor having another position and size, so when you move from monitor 1 to mointor 2 it automatically resizes en positions to the given settings

Hello Bogdan,

I would very much like this option too:

I have 3 monitors with (much) different resolutions. If I have a window open with a certain size and centered on one monitor and then move the window to another monitor, I have to center and often resize the window again to have it centered and at the desired size again. I am now using combo buttons tot do so, but it would be much easier to have this done automatically when I use the Move to Monitor button.

Thank you for considering this.
Best regards.

Hello Pim

Do you not know about the Keep aspect ratio option of the Move to monitor button or does it not suit your needs completely?

Do you want to move to other monitor keeping the same size and keeping the window centered?

Best regards.

Hello Bogdan,

Yes, (of course) I know about "Keep the aspect ratio". It does however indeed not suit my needs.

I have different resolutions on my 3 monitors: (#1) 1280 x 768, (#2) 1680 x 1050 & (#3) 1024 x 768. When, for example, I move my WordPerfect window between the first 2 monitors back and forth (which I regularly do) the window is widened when I move it to monitor 2 and narrowed when I move it to monitor 1. This means that the size of the text in WordPerfect is increased and decreased respectively. This is not nice to work with. What I want to do and for which I have made combo buttons, is to have a window size of 825 x 768 on monitor 1 and 850 x 1000 on monitor 2. In both cases the window should be aligned in middle-center. I have found that this setup works best for me.

Because I do not want the text within WordPerfect to be increased and decreased every time when moving the window from monitor 1 to 2 and vice versa, I have set the option After moving to Another Monitor to Fit target monitor. A drawback of that option is that the window is not aligned properly anymore after moving it to the other monitor. Therefore I have made 2 combo buttons: one for monitor 1 and the other for monitor 2 with the settings described above. So every time I move the window to another monitor I immediately click the appropriate combo button. That works well for me. However, it would be much nicer if my size and alignment settings could be applied automatically when moving the window from one monitor to the next.

Best regards.
