Actual Window Minimizer is breaking the Taskbar Notification Area with the latest Windows 10 update (KB5003637). The notification area oscillates between being completely gone, to having the icons overlap, to getting shrunk with arrows on either side. Exiting AWM immediately fixes the problem. Is there an update expected?

Hello, Eddie

Thank you for contacting us.

It's a recent problem of Windows which first appeared in the KB5003214 update (the build number 19043.1023). You can read about it here for example. But I can confirm that the problem appearance in the new version 19043.1052 is way more persistent with our software running than without it. Probably, our software is among the applications that tend to trigger the problem.

We'll try to see if we can implement some solution on our part and will post here if we have results.

There are two workarounds for the problem:
1. You can enable the "News and interests" taskbar widget in the Windows taskbar context menu (right-click the taskbar > News and interests). In this case the problem should stop.
2. You can change the value of the "Change size of text..." option in the Display Settings to 100% for the main display. As the problem seem to happen only if the value is increased (125% and more).

Best regards.

Thank you. I very much appreciate you responding so quickly!

Turning on the news and interest widget does seem to have helped for now. I'll be on the lookout for your more permanent solution.

Thanks again!

Are there any other workarounds for this?  Any update on a AMM fix/workaround?

I have this issue in build 19042.1706, so earlier than what is stated above.  I do not have an option to turn on the widget (nor am I particularly interested in it).  The text size for the main display is not increased and is se t to 100%.
