Actual Multiple Monitors 8.14.1
Windows 10 pro 64-bit v1903 (build 18362.449)

Mozilla Firefox v70.0
Sierra Chart v2003

During debugging of c++ code for Sierra Chart add-on study, I am noticing repeated exception being thrown by kernellbase.dll

for example:
Exception thrown at 0x00007FFC16E2A839 (KernelBase.dll) in SierraChart_64.exe: 0x0EEDFADE (parameters: 0x00000000056CA34E, 0x0000000011000CF0, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000).

Also, another message that appears when the main Sierra Chart process creates a new window or MDI window:
windows\dwm\dwmapi\attribute.cpp(105)\dwmapi.dll!00007FFC147C1940: (caller: 00000000057AC844) LogHr(5) tid(35ac) 80070006 The handle is invalid.

As an experiment, I attached debugger to Firefox and saw the same exception code:
Exception thrown at 0x00007FFC16E2A839 (KernelBase.dll) in firefox.exe: 0x0EEDFADE (parameters: 0x0000000001D0A34E, 0x0000016C3D572450, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000).

These exceptions do not appear when I start windows with Actual Multiple Monitors disabled, which leads me to believe that AMM is causing some problem.

Hello, Geoff

Do you notice any problems in Firefox or Sierra Chart associated with these exceptions, or they don't manifest themselves in any way other than in debugger?

If there are no problems but you want to know why these exceptions happen, create dump files of Firefox and Sierra Chart processes after exceptions happen and send them to bogdan@actualtools.com or upload them to a file hosting site and provide us a link to them.

Best regards.
