I have got Total Commander pinned to my desktop, but when I dump the screen TC doesn't exist on the dumped screen?

Please specify what method you have used to dump your screen. I've just checked this issue with common PrintScreen - everything's OK.

Could you check it using the regular PrintScreen method?

Dear Kamil,
In its origin, GIMP is a Linux application therefore there are no guarantees that this program will work in Windows correctly.
We have no responsibility on how other program's features work (as you could see, the regular Windows PrintScreen method works without fail).

Tatiana,

Welcome on AWM forum.

Sorry, but it is a week explanation. Despite that the GIMP has a Linux the GIMP is program working under Windows and working properly without AWM. When I use AWM the result of dumping screen is not appropriate.

Kamil,

I'd like to bring to your attention just 2 facts:

1. Without AWM, you can't make the Total Commander window pinned to desktop (i.e. the "pin to desktop" is not a standard mode).

2. Standard Windows PrintScreen capturing function does the job (even for non-standard pinned-to-desktop windows).

Considering these 2 facts, I can make the following conclusion: GIMP has a poor knowledge of Windows internals and can't handle properly windows in non-standard modes (such as "pin to desktop"). I.e. the problem is in GIMP, not in AWM.

But it looks like the AWM has more bugs than GIMP, and maybe the AWM makes GIMP not working properly.

I mean AWM is the younger program then GIMP is, and in terms of time, reputation and in terms of number of users, AWM is seems to have more undiscovered bugs and problems with other applications co-operation.

I wouldn't have said that if AWM had had only one or few bugs. But I've been still discovering the new ones. Sorry...

AWM is smaller, so it has to adjust the bigger one :-).

But I agree that AWM gives the opportunity having order on the desktop and despite these bugs I'm still using it. I hope my feedback gives you the opportunity of improving your SW.
