Hello, Louka

Morever I can't find the " Show the notification area" settings
It's here: the taskbar's context menu > Taskbar parts > Show the notification area.

As i can see, you have a custom battery bar. What applications does it belong to? Does disabling this toolbar solve the problem?

Do you have any other additional toolbars or taskbar extensions?

Best regards.

I too am having the issue in where the Windows system is very slow.
When I stop (or pause) Actual Window Manager my system operates normally again.  I have a BRAND-NEW Surface Book 2 and also using Windows Fall Update with AWM 8.11.3

I am hoping that Actual Tools gets the issue resolved, as I've been using AWM for years and it's hard to imagine not being able to use it now. I've had some minor problems that have been fixed over time, I am hoping this is no exception.  :(

Kind Regards,
Glenn

Hello, Glenn

Could you provide your Surface Book 2 specifications?

Could you also open the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc combination), reproduce the issue and see what processes have the greatest values of the CPU and Memory parameters (in Windows 8 and 10 - the Details tab) when the CPU consumption in the system is high. Please, provide us the names of these processes and CPU consumption values.

Does the restart of the system solve the problem temporarily?

Best regards.

Hello guys,
i have the same problems with windows 10 and actual window manager. Resizing a window or move it around becomes really slow. When i pause the window manager everything is quite normal. I use a Intel Core i7-990X Extreme Edition Processor and 16 GB Ram and had no problems on win 7 before.

Hello gentlemen,

It seems that there is a workaround.

Leonardo, please follow these steps:
1. Run the AffinityMaskAMM.reg file (download link - https://www.actualtools.com/hfiles/hidden/AffinityMaskAMM.reg );
2. Restart Actual Multiple Monitors and check whether the issue persists or not.

Max, please follow these steps:
1. Run the AffinityMaskAIM.reg file (download link - https://www.actualtools.com/hfiles/hidden/AffinityMaskAIM.reg );
2. Restart Actual Window Manager and check whether the issue persists or not.

Please inform us about your results.

Thanks Bogdan, Alex and Vasiliy,

The AffinityMaskAIM.reg file seems to have fixed the problem in which my Windows 10 on my Surface Book 2 was running very slow.  It is behaving normally now.

I appreciate ALL of your responses in assistance and support to this problem, and I am very pleased to be able to use AWM again!  :)

AWM 8.11.3
Surface Book 2 15'
Microsoft Windows 10 Professional x64

Hey guys,
thanks for the response. The reg file fixed the problem for me. Do I have to keep a copy of this file or will it be implemented in the next version of actual window manager?

Okay after testing actual window manager a little bit more after I tried the AffinityMaskAIM.reg fix, I can say that it helped quite a lot but it feels a lot slower than it should be. Hovering over items in the windows explorer is much slower when actual window manager is active. I realized some system freezing too but I'm not sure how to reproduce it. Sometimes my mouse is so slow I have problems to hit a button.I will deactivate actual window manager for now until it is stable again under windows 10.
