Hello, Edo

We can’t reproduce the issue on our machines, but we’re trying to figure out what causes this. Could you disable the “Enable preview thumbnails” option (Configuration module > Multiple Monitors > Taskbar > General > Enable preview thumbnails) and see whether it solves the problem.

If disabling this option doesn’t influence the problem, then could you install the version 8.9 and see whether the problem persists? If the problem persists, please install the previous versions in decreasing order (8.8.3, 8.8 etc) until you reach for the version which doesn’t have this problem and let us know the results.

Thank you.

Hello, I'm sorry I cannot reproduce the issue for the last few days. Now AWM starts just correctly, no crashing. I'll respond here as soon as the issue appears again and then I'll try to change the preview thumbnails setting and I'll let you know.

Hello, Edo

We’ve managed to reproduce the issue and to figure out what triggers this: the issue appears, when a monitor with AWM (or AMM) taskbar has a non-standard DPI. Could you change the DPI settings of your monitors to standard (100%) and see whether the problem appears in version 8.9.1?

Best regards.

Hi Bogdan, I have never changed DPI scaling on my monitors. I have always used standard 100% DPI scaling.

Today AWM crashed again so I posted crash dump to you by mail.

Then I tried to disable thumbnails preview as you recommended and start AWM again, but unfortunately, it crashed again.

Hello, Edo

Have you tried to install the previous versions as I wrote above:

Now I use AWM 8.10 for a few weeks and I can confirm that the problem disappeared. Thank you.

According to the changelog, there seem to be a collision with F-Secure AV which is installed on my OS.
