Hi there

We use Remote Administrator v2.2 (Viewer is 3.0).  I have a rule to only put certain buttons on Windows with substring caption of "Ctrl-F12 - menu".  When saving the rule, all currently active windows get the buttons as expected, but any newly opened windows matching that substring don't get the new buttons.  Even a word doc with the same partial string won't get them.

Infact, the RAdmin windows don't get ANY new buttons...  :(

Please help!

Cheers
Paul

Thank you very much for your interest to our programs.

I installed the RAdmin program and found that RAdmin Window has a different window class every time you run it.

So, you need to use these settings for RAdmin Windows:
Uncheck Window Class option.
Check Window Caption and enter "Ctrl-F12 - menu".
Check Program and enter radmin.exe

I hope this help you.

Sincerely,

Hi there

Indeed, I had already discovered the different window class each time, which is why I only used the "Window Caption" option.  When saving the rule, it applies to all currently-open windows with no problems.  If Radmin is used to open a NEW window, the buttons aren't applying - and only in this situation...

I am using Windows Server 2003 - perhaps there's something quirky going on?

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Can you check the work of our Actual Window Manager program with Radmin windows?

You may download the trial version from our site at http://www.ActualTools.com/files/aimsetup.exe

Hi there

Have tried with the Actual Windows Manager with exactly the same results.

All new RAdmin windows are ignored be even the default rule, except the RAdmin v3.0 Viewer Window, which receives the buttons as expected.

The only time the RAdmin windows gets the buttons is if they are open and SAVE is pressed on the Windows Manager.

Cheers
Paul

We checked again this situation with RAdmin and found that Actual Window Manager adds new commands into system menu of RAdmin windows, but not title buttons.

We will work under this problem and this error will be fixed in next version of our programs.

Thanks for your help.
