Hi forum & Actual Tools team,

I frequently use (for example) Adobe Acrobat 7, spanning multiple monitors. Then, in Acrobat, I open multiple (MDI) document windows.

a) There, I'd like to snap those child windows to *monitor* borders.

b) Additionally, I'd like to define a title button for the MDI (child) windows in Acrobat that maximizes the respective MDI window, but *not* to the parent window size (which spans multiple monitors) but to the current monitor only.

It seems however that both a) and b) is not possible.

Please advise.

Thank you
Regards David.P

This is what it looks like, Adobe Acrobat spanning three monitors, with 3 child windows:

At the moment, I have to adjust the child windows' width manually to the monitor borders (orange lines in the screenshot).

It would be much easier if the child (MDI) windows would snap to the monitor borders, or even better, if the child windows could be maximized to the monitor (not to the parent window) with an AWM title button.

The current "change size to 100% of monitor" button:

... does NOT work.

It changes the size to 100% of the parent window instead (which spans three monitors).

Thank you already for a fix regarding this.

Hello.

This feels like I'm being ignored here.

Again: how can I maximize a MDI (child) window to the current monitor, when the parent window spans mulitple monitors?

Thank you for having a look into this, again.

Hello David,

Thanks for the post and sorry for the delay in replying.

Unfortunately, there is no way to get what you need at the moment.
We'll try to improve the MDI windows support so you'll be able to achieve your needs.

Best regards.

Ok thank you.

For a first step, it would also be sufficient if MDI child windows could be snapped and/or maximized at least to AWM desktop dividers, if not to monitor borders.

David,

We'll try to add the Desktop Divider support for MDI windows.
