I am using AWM 4.3 and NOD32 2.70.16 on WinXP Pro SP2.  I have a window rule for the NOD32 Control Center window (the main NOD32 Control Center window, not the sub-windows on the right):

I cannot get this rule to work upon opening the NOD32 Control Center.  That is, when I click the NOD32 tray icon, and the NOD32 Control Center opens, the NOD32 Control Center window is not resized or moved by AWM as it should be.  However, if I stop and start AWM (using the AWM tray icon), the NOD32 Control Center window is then resized and moved.

The various NOD32 Control Center sub-windows do work correctly with their window rules.  For example, I have window rules for the Scheduled tasks sub-window and for the Event Log sub-window, and whenever these sub-windows are opened, they are sized/moved correctly.  Only the main NOD32 Control Center window is not handled this way.

I have tried various class/window title settings, but cannot get it to work properly.  Help, please?

Scott, actually, AWM handles this window properly; the subtle thing here is that NOD32 doesn't destroy this window when you click its "Hide" button and therefore NOD32 doesn't create this window when you call it onto desktop. That's why the Startup trigger isn't activated, and therefore the defined resizement/reposition aren't applied (but this trigger is activated when you restart AWM).

Please tell me what result do you try to achieve? I've noticed that NOD32 remembers the size and position of this window so it's enough to size/place it as required so then it will appear in the defined size/place again. In such case, what reason you need the AWM assistance for? Thank you.

NOD32, having a lousy interface, does not permanently remember its size/positions.  No, that would be too user-friendly, and we couldn't have that.  But it does generally remember its size/position until it is closed.

The problem I have is that I use Remote Desktop, and simply remembering an absolute size/position is not enough.

This seems to be a problem with NOD32's crap interface, so I guess my options are limited.  Thanks.

Scott, maybe, you should try to use the "Fix minimal/maximal size" and the "Restrict placement" options for this NOD32 window. These options work all the time window is present on the desktop so you can constrain it as required.

ReNix Evas: Does it mean that you need a link to NOD32 2.7?  :)

It's available in the first message (by Scott).
