1. No option to hide the start button on secondary monitors (Windows 8 does not have a start button, so it looks weird to have the start button on some screens and not others)

2. The start menu will occasionally open on the wrong screen (not the screen that has the mouse on it)

3. In Windows 8, when you open the start menu and begin typing, a bar appears on the right of the menu to show you what you're typing and some extra details. Sometimes with AMM, that bar appears on the wrong screen while the start menu is appearing on the right screen

4. The start screen is smaller on secondary monitors. This seems to be on purpose, but there is no way to disable it.

5. If you try to use the "Open With" option on a secondary monitor, you can't expand the list of options. If you try, the menu disappears. You can get around this problem by flicking the mouse over to the main monitor right after clicking "Open with", then moving it back once the Open With menu opens.

Hello Jacob.

What version of AMM are you running?

Please send us your configuration files using the Send to Tech Support tool.

1. Taskbar right click > uncheck the Show the Start button

2,3 - was unable to reproduce this, does it happen when you open the start menu from the primary?

4. - can confirm this but I need to discuss it with our developers

5. - was unable to reproduce, I can expand the list.

Best regards.

Thanks

2,3 - was unable to reproduce this, does it happen when you open the start menu from the primary?

To reproduce: Move mouse to secondary monitor and click start button area. While start menu is open, move mouse back to primary monitor. Close start menu with Windows key. Re-open start menu with Windows key.

4. - can confirm this but I need to discuss it with our developers

5. - was unable to reproduce, I can expand the list.

I don't even get the option to expand the list if the number of default options is too long. This happens ever time. I've sent my config files as requested.

Hello Jacob.

2,3 - I'm still unable to reproduce it. Does it always happen on your machine?

4 - this appearance of the start menu was intentionally implemented with a view to make the start menu on our taskbar more similar to the Windows 7 start menu.

5 - add an exclusion matching class: Shell_LightDismissOverlay and program: \explorer.exe.

Best regards.

Hello Michael

I'd like to inform you that the now the appearance of the start menu is optional. It is available in the Actual Window Manager new beta version - 7.3 beta 2.

Best regards.

And the issue with the "Open with" dialog has been fixed also.
