 When I maximize Microsoft Outlook 2010 on my 2nd monitor (1920 x 1080), the Outlook window does not fill the entire screen.  For some reason it sizes itself to 1936x896, leaving a gap between the Windows task bar and the bottom of the Outlook window ...wasted screen real estate.

I've tried everything I can think of to fix this.  

I'm running version 7.1, Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise on a Lenovo X220

I was unable to reproduce the problem on my desktop PC.

Is there any steps to reproduce the issue?

Please send us your configuration files using the "Send to Tech Support" tool.

I just submitted the configuration files, per your request.

After posting my initial message last week, I upgraded to the latest beta version 7.2.

I had not seen the Outlook window resize improperly, so I was hopeful the problem had been resolved.

Unfortunately it just started happening again, which is why I came back to the forum and noticed your request.

Clearly it seems to work OK some/most of the time.

Another observation:  You know in Windows 7 when you move a Window near the edge of the screen (I think it is called snapping)...when I drag the bottom of my Outlook window towards the bottom of the screen it snaps in the wrong location (much too far from the edge of the screen).

One theory:  Somehow Actual Window Manager things the Windows task bar is much taller than it really is....this is how it seems to be behaving.  If I grow the task bar into the Outlook Window, and then return the task bar back to its normal height, one of two things happens:

1) The Outlook window automatically goes back to the "correct height" of 1936 x 1056 (as reported by Actual Window Manager)

or

2) The Outlook window stays small, but maximizing it changes it to the "correct height" of 1936 x 1056

 Hi there. I am afraid that I have been having the same problem with 7.1 for a good week or so on my secondary 1920x1080 screen. Initially I thought it was when I was using Vmware on there but that wasn't the trigger. Once that that maximum window size gets cropped on the secondary display and makes a good 3/4 inch of the screen below the bottom of the open window and the secondary Taskbar blank and unusable (24" screen), it applies to any app being run on there, as in Outlook 2010, IE, explorer windows etc etc. The only way to fix it for a time is to close AMM on the taskbar then run it again.

Also, if I use the "move to" AMM shortcut on any windows, the limitation of the cropping remains on the secondary monitor.

I would love a fix as it is mildly annoying thanks.

 My problems definitely occur when maximizing and snapping other applications.  I tend to use Outlook on the 1920x1080 monitor the most, which is why I mentioned in my posting.

 OOPS - Actual Multiple Monitors verson 4.1 used here, NOT Actual Windows Manager, sorry about that but the same problem as far as I can tell.

Just to add, I have actually had to close AMM twice today due to the cropping issue and on both occasions the amount of screen that is ignored (left as a gap) on screen 2 has varied in size. I do tend to use Mostly Outlook 2010 on this screen but I do flick various other screen to and from screen 2.

Windows 7 Enterprise x64, SP1, Nvidia Geforce 680 SLI graphics if it helps.

It has been many days since anyone has replied regarding this bug report.

I confirm it still happens in Actual Window Manager 7.2 beta 2.

Has a trouble ticket been assigned to this issue?
