Using Windows 7 64bit, AMM 3.2

I have quite a lot of different applications open, and quite frequently one or a few of them is missing from the taskbar. VS2008 is often not there, but at this moment it's happening to Notepad++, and it has happened with I think both Outlook and Firefox 4.

It's quite annoying and one of my biggest gripes with AMM.

I now tried to Stop AMM from the icon menu, and then start it up again. When I stopped it, NP++ appeared on the "real" task bar, but when I started it, it remains there and won't move back to the AMM taskbar. Same thing happens if I exit the application and start it up again. The other apps seem to work fine.

Hello Anders,

Thanks for the post.

Could you do the following?
1. Reproduce the problem;
2. Open another new window in the same taskbar;
3. Make a screenshot of this problem;
4. Send me (support@actualtools.com) this screenshot.

Best regards.

Just to say that I too am suffering this problem a huge amount with Visual Studio 2005. It happens when I press compile; as visual studio kicks into 'pre-build', the taskbar is often lost :( Didn't happen on the last beta version you released... but does happen on the latest paid for build which I now use

I have experienced this quite a bit in the last few builds of AWM since at least 6.2.  Hit ALT-TAB and the "missing" windows appear, select the missing window with ALT-TAB and then it re-appears in the task bar.  Unable to reproduce at will, seems to happen randomly.  Also seems to be "sub" windows of a main program that usually do it.

For me, selecting the window via alt-tab does not bring it back to the taskbar. Nor does moving it to the actual windows taskbar.

Hello gentlemen,

Dave and Jim, what version of windows are you running?
32 or 64-bit?

Best regards.

I get the same thing - most prevalent with Visual Studio 2008. Many times I've launched VS again, thinking I didn't have it running, and ended up with three or four "hidden" instances.

This is on Win7 x64
