I'm using AWM 4.0 (final) on WinXP Pro SP2. I set up a rule for
Media Player Classic 6.4.9.0
, which I want to match only when certain files are played. Because Media Player Classic's title bar changes to show the file name, I thought this would be possible.
But what happens is that the rule has no effect during normal use. I think this is because when Media Player Classic first loads, it displays a title bar that shows only "Media Player Classic", and no file name. After a very, very short amount of time, the title bar changes to reflect the name of the file being opened.
And, indeed, if I select the
Re-apply window rule
menu item, the rule is applied correctly.
Is there any way to get the rule to match without the extra hassle?

Scott, please sorry for the long silence.
I have to say that currently there's no way to solve the problem you described. It's our well-known and old headache and it's our primary issue to get fixed in the next version. But for now the
"Re-apply rule"
is the single remedy for it.
Sorry and please be patient.

The described issue was fixed in the version 4.2 of Actual Tools.
