Topic: «Start Up Log , How to log the start up » on forum: Technical Support

This is just a question, does anybody knows how to "make" or force Windows XP SP3 to "write" a log of the programs the system "runs" to start up the computer? Same for shutting down, I really want to know WHAT the system is doing to start and to shut down, sometimes takes for ever.

The first link Google shows for "windows boot logging" query - Troubleshooting the Startup Process (search for Boot logging there).

Also, you may refer to the Event Viewer system applet for the information about services startup/shutdown.
