I have a HP EliteDesk running Windows 11 (although this problem also occurred when I was running Windows 10) with 32 GB of RAM. My computer randomly slows to a crawl, like the CPU and/or memory usage is at 100% but Task Manager, when it finally loads, does not show anything of the sort and in fact looks perfectly normal. It's so bad that I have to reboot my PC. I have narrowed the problem down to Actual Windows Manager because when I reboot and exit AWM immediately after it loads, I do not have any issue whatsoever.

I just paid for the new version since my previous license expired in 2024. I had not been using it for quite some time, and in fact had uninstalled it. I just got a new 34" curved monitor and thought I'd try AWM again to help me position applications, etc., and paid the upgrade price. I'm kinda wishing I hadn't now since the performance problem is still happening.

Has anyone else ever had this experience? Any suggestions? I really want to use the program because when it's working well it's very helpful.

I see another gentleman has reported the same issue as this but no one has responded. Anyone at Actualtools looking at this? I'm almost at the point where I'm going to have to uninstall it. I really hate to ask for a refund as it wasn't that much to upgrade but at this point it becomes unusable multiple times a day, and I can't figure out why.

Can someone please look into this issue or help us figure out what information to send you so you can troubleshoot?
