Exactly what the title says, anytime that I now attempt to launch "file explorer" that is pinned to any of the secondary monitor task bars, all of the secondary taskbars lock up and are unusable, and "white out" and locks-up.

I am running 8.14.7, and this is very, very strange. it will launch from the main taskbar fine, but not on any of the others.

The only thing new that has been "updated" is Microsoft PowerToys, and that is definitely something that I can see causing issues. does anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks!

Edit: I just found that launching "Outlook" will also lock-up the taskbar.

I can still access the configuration GUI, but now I am looking for  good log file that might help me figure this all out. Thanks TSoF!

Okay, I just uninstalled PowerToys 90.2 and reinstalled 89.0, and now it works perfectly. So it would appear that something installed with PowerToys >= 90.x is causing the issue, as now I can launch from the secondary monitor taskbar without issue.

Edit: I thought that was a fix; however, when I attmepted to access the context menu of the "file explorer" on a secondary monitor task bar the same issue happened. Actual Windows Manager locked up, and I had to completely close it out and then restart it to get the secondary window taskbars back. Outlook is opening, as are the rest of my programs that are pinned, so it would appear to be an issue with File Explorer specifically. I am going to do some more testing, but I'm not even sure it's a PowerToys issue now, to be honest.

Hello, Jason

Thank you for contacting us.

Were you able to get any new information about the problem?

Does the problem persist when PowerToys is not running?

Could you specify the exact number of your Windows build (type winver in the Search field of the Windows Start menu, press Enter. The window containing the build number will appear).

Could you send us your Actual Tools program configuration files using the Send to Tech Support tool (Actual Tools program configuration module > Tools > Configuration > Send to Tech Support)? Add a link to this topic in the email.

Best regards.
