Excel works fine when you first open a workbook with macro's. Once you open the VBA IDE performance slows down significantly. After you close the VBA IDE it appears to remain in memory and its icon remains on the virtual desk top switcher. Clicking on the icon brings back the IDE less its menu.

Dear Chaupper,

Please, specify what office are you using? (2003 or 2007)

Issue occurs with Excel 2007 and 2010 Beta using AWM 6.0 Beta 1 with Virtual Desktops enabled.

Issue does not occur when Virtual Desktops are disabled.

Steps to reproduce error:
Enable Virtual Desktops and show the virtual desktops switcher.

Open Excel
Open VBA IDE (Alt - F11)
Close VBA IDE

Issue/Error:
Icon for VBA IDE continues to show on
virtual Desktop Switcher. Clicking on the Icon
brings up the IDE without its menu.

Closing VBA IDE application using the X icon on its title bar will close the IDE application but it's icon remains in the virtual desktop switcher.

Closing Excel removes the VBA IDE icon from the switcher.

Excel Performance is reduced approx in half once this VBA / IDE issue occurs.

FYI:

Downloaded Version 2.0 of Actual Virtual Desktops.
No issues with Excel / VBA IDE. Issue seems to be specific to virtual Desktops in AWM 6.0 Beta 1.

Little more info.

Uninstalled beta 6.1 and installed awm 6.0 trial.
No issues with excel and virtual desktop manager.

Still seem to lose the menu in a custom .net application when minimized and restored from system tray.
