I hope I am not setting myself up to feel foolish, but I want to run a window as maximized, but cannot find the
Run as
setting in AWM. It used to be on the
Size
panel, but now it seems to be gone. Please advise.

It was removed from the "Size" panel because we decided that it has a weak relation to window size but strong to window startup. So now it can be adjusted at the "Startup" panel: select there the "Open as" action in the actions list and then select the desired run mode in the "Action Options" group below.
