After I upgraded from my 8.7 version of AMM to 8.8.1 AMM is running, but I don't have any taskbars anymore.

When switching back to 8.7 everything comes back to work.

Any idea what I can do about it?

Hello, Stefan

What OS are you running (name, 32- or 64-bit)?

What theme are you running?

Best regards.

Hi Bogdan,

1. Windows 7 64bit

2. Default theme without special design (old taskbar etc.)

Thanks,
Stefan

I am not the original poster, but I am having the EXACT SAME issue, and trying to correct it has led me to this forum.

I have all the same configurations as the original poster, with the exception that I am running version 8.8.1, and am not able to backtrack to an earlier version to obtain taskbars again.  I have a 7 monitor set-up.  I am not certain when I was upgraded to 8.8.1, so I am not able to offer if that is when the problem started.

I've tried system restore several times, and also uninstalling and reinstalling AMM, but no change, and all the taskbars on the monitors repeatedly disappear except the primary monitor.

About 10% of the time when I re-boot the computer, the taskbars will be there as expected, but then they disapear and there will be numerous re-boot cycles where I cannot get them to appear at all.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I have grown to rely on AMM and taskbars on each monitor so much, it is making it extremely hard to get anything done.

Thanks again for any ideas.
Mike

I am also suffering from this. Here is my description:

After last sunday's update of Actual Window Manager to version 8.8.1 the multiminitor taskbar does not stay enabled when I restart my System. I am on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. GFX cart GeForce GTX 980Ti driver is 364.72. I have a dual monitor setup with primary 1920 x 1080 and secondary 1024 x 768.

I cannot activate multimonitor taskbar while I am using a basic desktop design. In order to get it working I have to switch to an Aero desktop design and then unhide the multimonitor taskbar. Switching back to my favourite basic desktop design keeps the multimonitor taskbar enabled.

When I reboot with the basic desktop design and multimonitor taskbar enabled, the taskbar does not show on the secondary monitor albeit the multimonitor taskbar is checked in the konfigurator. Only switching to Aero and unhiding multimonitor again makes the taskbar show up on the second monitor.

Before the update it made no difference between Aero and basic and my settings wh ere kept when restarting the computer.

Do I miss somethimg or is this a bug?

Hello, gentlemen

This is a known issue with the latest update. Could you try this custom build of Actual Window Manager and see whether the problem is gone.

But you should close Actual Multiple Monitors while using Actual Window Manager to avoid the unwanted effects. Just start Actual Window Manager only and see whether the taskbars appear.

You all use the Basic or Classic Windows themes, am I right?

EDIT:
Custom build is not available anymore, please update to the just released version 8.8.2.

I'm using a windows classic theme.  When I switched back to 8.7 the taskbars display perfectly.  I actually have no problem at all with continuing to use 8.7, it works great for me.

Hi Bogdan.,
aim881_fixed.exe solved the problem for me. Thank you very much for the quick solution.

P.S.: Yes, I am using classic mode.
