Hello,

I have setup with 2 monitors.
I have tested "ignore deactivation" with latest Beta Drivers and it does work for fullscreen mode in Dota2. It makes picture of the game freeze competently and secondary screen becomes very very choppy and practically unusable.

I did test same thing with starcraft, diablo and EVE and there everything works fine.

Any idea what may be a reason ?

Thanks!

MM

I also tested Marvel HEreos 2015 and GTA 5.. Ignore deactivation works there fine.

For some reason Dota 2 from Valve is casing problems :(

Hello MacMus,

Thanks for the post.

How are you trying to activate the "Ignore deactivation" feature (using hotkeys or Specific Settings, with compatibility mode or without)?
Please check the game refresh rate (this may be the reason - http://www.actualtools.com/forum/read.php?FID=10&TID=3523 ).

I have tried both ways with shortcut and specific seting .. with compatibility mode and without it.
There is no option to set refresh rate in dota 2. I have 1440p monitor with 144Hz.

MacMus,

I was able to activate the "Ignroe deactivation" feature using Specific Settings where "Window class" and "Window caption" criteria are disabled and the "Program" criterion enabled and equal \dota.exe on the "Target Window" tab.
Please try to adjust the same criteria and check whether the "Ingore deactivation" feature works or not.

hello,

I tried that .. the only difference is that i get this choppiness strait at the start rather then invoked by pressing button configuration.

Do you want any logs from that ?

BR,
MM

Hello MacMus,

Are you running the latest beta version of our product? If not, please download and install it from http://www.actualtools.com/beta/ .

Then please make the following steps:
1. Enable logging ( http://www.actualtools.com/windowmanager/help/userinterface/console.php );
2. Adjust Specific Settings for Dota2 (with the Program criterion enabled only) with the Ignore Deactivation feature enabled;
3. Run Dota2;
4. Check whether the Ignore Deactivation feature works or not (you could also try to use the "Lock mouse" hotkeys combination to unlock your mouse cursor);
5. Send us your configuration files (Tools -> Configuration -> Send to Tech Support) and describe these steps result.

MacMus,

The problem where WoW can't be activated has been confirmed. We'll investigate the issue.
WoW, Steam and Google Chrome consume the most part of CPU on my test machine and lags you described are not related to Actual Multiple Monitors.

Best regards.

My issue related to Dota not WoW :(

So it's same issue ?

I have i7 desktop processor and "other" desktop only lags like that in case of Dota.
In other games when using "Ignore deactivation" there is no such choppiness.
