I just set up Windows 8 for the first time, and have finished doing battle with the ridiculous start screen. However, the whole look and feel of the desktop and windows, particularly with AWM installed, is grisly. Now, I know some of this is my lack of familiarity with Windows 8, but this is what the AWM Config window looks like right now - like something from the early 90s...

So, apart from the massive window borders, centralised titlebar text (see my other post in Feature Requests) and lack of outlined titlebar buttons, is there anything I can easily do to get AWM buttons to be bigger, lower, blacker, etc. - i.e. to match the existing window chrome, like they do automatically on XP?

Many thanks,

Dave.

Hello David

Unfortunately, there is no way to get it.

We'll consider your request.

Best regards.

Hello David,

Our title buttons look is improved in Windows 8/8.1 in the current 8.3 beta 3 version of Actual Window Manager (download link - http://www.actualtools.com/files/aim83b3.exe ).

Best regards.

Thanks - I ended up using the instructions here (specifically, Step 2) to put 'normal' buttons back on everything, and AWM works very nicely then.
